Ok 1st time long time.

I have other precision long rifles but both are ARs. After Spending over 6 on my last set up i decided its time to bolt rifle.

So far Ive got a S&B PMII 5x25
A Nucleus SA Left Hand (<-This is important) on order (action is also coming with at 20moa top rail)
a Proof 20" .264 Sendero Blank (im building a 6.5 Creed)
SPUHR 20MOA Scope Mount

I plan on using my thunder beast 30-P1 (that besides a hunting rifle doesnt really have a home)
and plan on using a LRA or a Revolution bipod on it.

Im super stoked because a really close friend of mine just gave me a whole complete reloading setup forester, hornady, RCBS, everything, turn key, ready to go... And the best part about it is, all he has is nothing but equipment and supplys to reload .223 and 6.5 creedmoor. over 3k worth of stuff

Sorry, im just a little excited.

SO my buddy at work says, "quit being cheep, look at the rest of your set up. Get something high class like a cadex".
I've personally originally liked and gravitated toward the XLR carbon with the 15.5:" rail because of the long length of the rail. Reminds me of my ARs i guess.

Does Accuracy international even make a left handed chassis?
XLR does, I know most people dont stock them but im sure I could order a Left handed Cadex through somebody like Mile High Shooting.
What other really nice high end chassis do you guys recommend or if im looking for high end top not and customizable have I hit the mark?

I ordered a bighorn origin and i am going through this process as well. I really like the xlr carbon but i keep going back and looking at the mdt ess. I keep thinking i made up my mind then i see a pic of an mpa chassis or something else and then I have to start my procces over again.

Good luck i will be following with interest.

Given the Nucleus is R700 clone, get a KRG Bravo for under $400 and shoot with that until you've had some time behind other chassis and stocks.

The resale loss will be very minimal and you can start shooting right away. Resale on it will be fast and easy.

When you get behind the right chassis/stock... you'll know which oneS to get. There will likely be 2 or 3 that will make you happy.

And you'll realize that you prefer different ones for different purposes.

Take a look on this thread, it sure looks sharp in a KRG https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...nucleus-time-well-spent.6876495/#post-6953775

But I got the MDT because I love a good group buy. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/mdt-group-buy.6870611/#post-6947929 mine came in yesterday and it looks real nice.

Nothing wrong with a Cadex if it is what you want. Does your buddy who is telling you to get one have one?

What chassis did you get? Looks like the group buy seller is good to go? I have been following that thread

Does not look like the buttstock can be adjusted as far up over the center-line of the bore with MDT vs. a Cadex. I purchased Cadex with their skeleton stock mostly for this reason alone. But it is for a magnum, so recoil mitigation factored into my decision heavily. I have not shot it yet, but tooling and finish is on par or better than LWRC which I also own.

I got the LSS Gen II. The seller did not collect the funds from PP until he had the goods ready to ship, they arrived well packaged, which was a good thing as the UPS guy just tossed them into a snow bank.

He does not, he rocks a magpul hunter stock on his gun.

Honest question, do you need the 20 MOA mount if you already have a 20 MOA rail? Seems excessive for the 6.5.

Well, if i was going to order a nucleus action i was going to get one with a 20moa base. and if im going to have a spurh on my S&B im going to have one with 20moa in it. its not going to hurt the scope. i understand though that ill be zeroed at the bottom of my turret

thats very helpful to know, for me personally, its imperative that my neck and head are comfortably resting and relaxed and no strain in them whatsoever.
