By crazy random happenstance I ended up trading for a 10.5 AR10 upper. Lucky me I have an AR10 lower that is able to be used as a pistol. I'm just gonna say this thing is a lot of fun. But in the interest of science we have decided to use one of our range days (once the Wuhan flu panic ends) to shoot a fun video that will compare a 10.5 AR10, a 10.5 300 Blackout, and 10.5 AK47 in 7.62X39.
I am planning to focus on velocity and energy, ballistics gel test, and accuracy. We will probably shoot these suppressed for fun unless I can get my hands on a quality decibel meter, for science and stuff.
I am planning on 3 loads. a 125 grain, a 150 grain, and a 168 grain.
The problem is I can find no load data for an AK with a 168 grain bullet. I was curious if you guys had any input on creating a load from scratch, or have tried this preferably using AA1680.
