I can't complain about the first week of the season.....grin!
Both the buck and bull were taken with my GAP lightweight .308 shooting 155gr scenars. Both shots were 320 meters.
The tags are punched and the freezer is full....

Great looking animals, especially the mulie! I love to hunt them. Heading to the eastern plains of Colorado the week before Thanksgiving to bowhunt them. Hope I get the chance to see one like that. Congrats!

Wow Pat, you did really well. Never had the itch to hunt elk but that one is a dandy....would make a beautiful mount. Pretty special MD as well.
What is that camo pattern you are wearing? Looks like it would work well in that western terrain.

Very nice animals. I have seen some big mulies in Kansas in previous years, but never there to hunt them. Always pheasant hunting.
