Recently I made a post that was inappropriate given the gender of the person towards whom the humorous content was directed. Had I known their gender the post would never have been made. I've gotten used to the idea that distaff posters' board names are either pink or purple, and while I'm not suggesting a "yellow stars" situation, something by way of an IFF marker would have prevented my confusion and the anger of others. My participation in the thread has been entirely redacted, as I have been contacted twice by concerned members of SH and the suggestion was made that I should limit participation hereabouts. Thanks, then, to all who have made my 32 months or so here pleasant, and I wish you fair winds and following seas.

Re: A public apology

-not everyone knows of the specifics of the 'faux-pas',

-you're manning up and addressing the situation,

-I had to look up a new word for me today (distaff),

-clear the air, move along, but don't necessarily 'move out'.

just my thoughts. I'd ask "whatinhellareyoutalkingabout" but I really don't need to know, do I?

What he said.
I don't even know what you're talking about and don't much care to look it up.

Re: A public apology

So you make a thread apologizing to someone <span style="font-weight: bold">(we don't know who)</span> about your participation in a thread (<span style="font-weight: bold">we don't know which one)</span>, about your supposed inappropriate posts (<span style="font-weight: bold">that you have since removed)</span>, and are now saying a public <span style="font-weight: bold">"Farwell to the Hide"</span>.

Now we know why shankster sticks to plus sized women.

Re: A public apology

I don't think you need to stop posting Veer! You apologized for making a mistake and are taking steps to be sure that it doesn't happen again. That is the right thing to do...nobody is perfect and we have all made mistakes in life. I was just getting used to the latest bantering between you and Shank....you can't stop now!!!

Re: A public apology

Apparently this comment was towards me; I never saw it and quite frankly could care less. I'm sure I would have had an appropriate come-back line
grin.gif
. If it was truly funny I wouldn't have even deleted it; I didn't care about the "before and after make-up" threads a while back (me without make-up, Lowlight was me "with make-up") because they were funny. If a gender faux-pas is truly insulting and the subject is offended and contacted the posting member, delete it if it broke the forum rules, and move on. I do think there are more females here than you guys suspect...

Just attended a conference that included complications of fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse) and learned that more men are seeking "enhancement" through the use of these fillers that are traditional used to fill laugh lines or enlarge lips of women. If injected directly into a blood vessel, however, tissue necrosis and gangrene occurs, and well, you can loose what little you had to begin with...
The moral of the story is to go to a doctor that takes their time, pulls back on the syringe to make sure there isn't a blood flash prior to injection of the filler substance.

Ummmm....isn't that part of the male anatomy pretty much filled with blood vessels? The odds aren't in your favor!

Thats kind of like saying "Ignorance is bliss". Ive found ignorance to almost always be, sooner or later, painful. Like when you dont remember then in a couple of days the old pecker starts to burn, swell and drip .....

It must be interesting for a woman to get the perspective from this forum.
