1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Will a36 mild steel work for a target, I know ar500 would be best for that but money is really tight. The target will be used from 200yds and on and will be shot @ with nothing larger than a .308. Thank you
I have mild steel targets and will not shoot them any closer than 300 yds. At that distance a .308 still marks it up but doesn't make craters like my .280 does. My brother in law used them one time and shot through a plate with his .270WSM @ 200yds ! I have since got some AR500 targets and have not regrets at all . If you don't mind welding up the holes and craters or will use them at farther distances mild steel will be fine .
