AAC 55gr Sabre Blade velocity?

I recently threw together an 11.5 to run as a dedicated suppressor host for a YHM Fat Cat. When I ran some PMC m855 over a Garmin chronograph I got ~2750 fps, which is about what I usually get with that ammo out of an 11.5. When I ran the 55gr Sabre Blades over the same Chronograph, I got around ~2850.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Just wondering because just shooting the stuff, I got the impression that it was a bit underpowered, because I had to open my gas block up a tick to get it to run the way I like. 2850 is pretty fast out of an 11.5.

Black Arc 53gr only get me 2900 by comparison and the Black Arc load is hot.

Sounds about right for a 11.5.

Is this current production ? .. Or an older lot ? ( purchase )

It's a current lot. I just got a case of it because it was on sale. I just thought it seemed a bit fast for an 11.5 barrel.

That's pretty impressive since it's only 3000fps or slightly under out of my 18". I also got the impression it wasn't as powerful as PMC green tip, tested it and the PMC was going 3200ish fps. Your results are the opposite of mine.

That's what I'm saying. Well, it's looking like I'm gonna be able to get out to the 800 yard range tomorrow and I'll be able to confirm my dope. I guess we'll see. According to Strelok, the projectiles moving at that speed has the drops in my ACOG right on.

If I have to hold much over the hashes in my reticle, I'll know the Garmin lied to me.
