Negative on the loud part.... M4-2000 is a great suppressor. I shoot mine on a 10.5" SBR and it makes it more then tolerable without ear pro. </div></div>
Funny you should mention that because this was exactly the setup that was at the range during my experiance. I noticed that the owner and his buddy put on earpro when they setup to shoot it. In fact, several of us asked why they needed earpro with a can! The instant he sent the first round down range I knew why!
I have tenitus and hearing loss in both ears thanks to an EFP just west of FOB Warrior outside of Kirkuk, Iraq, so trust me when it is loud to me, it must be loud! That or I just expect more from the AAC hype.
Guess I am partial to SAS cans, but for a small CQB platform I would look at the M47.

I own many different 5.56 cans. I think the M4-2000 ranks up there in decibel reduction better then most that are on the market. Times are changing, along with materials and technology. Are there better options? Sure. But for what they are, they flat out work. Ive got thousands of rounds on mine and it works great. They are more quiet then a SF, thats fact.
There is a difference between "being partial to SAS" and blatantly coming here to wildly promote the product. We get it, you like his stuff because you know him. What's funny is people trying to play the "AAC fanboy" and "AAC hype" card all the time. What is it about AAC that rubs you the wrong way? They went main stream thru advertisement and made all the right moves, hating on their success is typical bandwagon fan behavior.
