I have a M4 2000 and love it. I have been looking at AACs SPR suppressors but I don't know much of anything about them, what can you tell me a about them?

What do you want to know?
Compared to the M42K it is quieter and has less gas blowback. This is primarily because of the over the barrel design and larger internal volume. The mounts go back over your barrel about 2.5". While quieter than an M42K, it isn't like night and day different.
Some people love the five indexing point mounting system. The potential downside is if you mount the suppressor in the wrong location you could have a POI different from what you expect.
Materials and construction are pretty much identical to the M42K.

Hmmm, sounds like it would be a better option for my next suppressor purchase. Right now I have a OPS 12, and a M42K, I'm looking for more of a do all mount on all suppressor, this time. I have another SPR Mod0, and a new REECE projct completed today, and that would probably be the best ticket for both those AR's it would keep OA length down while still being a excellent suppressor. I was going to order another 12th, and swap the M42K around but jeese the 12ths are next to impossible to find.

The 16th would be a more comparable suppressor for the SPR/M4. The 12th is probably the quietest 223/556 suppressor that I have heard.

I have an AAC SPR/M4 on a rock river and its great. Less blow back put an jp adj. gas block and a h2 buffer and it runs like the silencer is not on it.As for locating it the same way it works the best when I start it with the lever strait up when i start to thread it so it repeats.

I have an Spr/M4 (aka "The Tuning Fork") It a good can especially once you get rid of the long ears on the flash hider. Has a pretty decent tone to it.

Yep, I agree 100%. The Ops products have a unique tone.
Regarding Ops availability, a lot has been changing behind the scenes at Ops Inc. I can't say more than that right now other than to say I expect things to improve in the near future.

Yep, I agree 100%. The Ops products have a unique tone.
Regarding Ops availability, a lot has been changing behind the scenes at Ops Inc. I can't say more than that right now other than to say I expect things to improve in the near future.

I like my spr-m4, but it's not enough better to be worth buying when you already have an m4-2000 unless you go from suppressed to unsuppressed and back a lot. Then the tunable poi shift would be nice, but I shoot suppressed all the time. The extra money was a waste for me, turns out. Good can, but if you shoot suppressed all the time then don't bother.

This man speaks the truth it`s not worth it if you have a m4 2000 already . I got a steal on my spr/m4 $900

Was going to buy an AAC M4/SPR, then shot a Ops Inc 15th. After that I was sold on the Ops Inc. As stated above, things are changing behind the scenes up at Ops Inc, and it looks like for the better. Not that they had any issues with their cans, just the regularity to the civilian market.
FYI, Denny's Guns (Global Tactical) had them for $736 not to long ago, and that includes the brake and collar)

Mine was really noticeable. It was a loud, high pitched "ping". Enough that 75% of the people who shot it said it hurt their ears a little bit. So I chopped the ears off and its been great since.
I have only ever shot mine so I don't have any other Spr/M4's to compare it to.

OK so is the back of the mount touching the barrel?How big is the dia on your barrel especially were the shoulder contacts the mount at the threads.
Mine has a nice shoulder the dia is .745 with a 16" length and extra heavy under the hand guard .950. I would guess that you have a thin barrel and when a gun is shot the barrel has vibration on it`s own and then add that mount and it makes things worse.
