ABCDE

Dear miss Abcde,
They are not laughing at you. They are laughing at you mother, she is a dumbass.

While our daughter does have a somewhat unique name, it was thought out fully and can't be made fun of in any really way.
I can't really tell this story as well in a typed version but I will try.
Grandma was a nurse for 35 years. In the 80's a lady had twins and had no idea on names. She came back 2 days latter with names.
Pronounced (as best as I can) Or-angelo and Lem-on-gelo
Grandma claimed she spelled it just like it said on the box in the ladies pantry. Orange-jello and Lemon-jello.

Or Shithead, pronounced Shi-theed

Or La-A pronounced Ladasha.

Real stuff you see working in the ER.

Hi,

I am so white that I will admit it took me a few times looking at La-A and trying to figure out how it was pronounced Ladasha...well either so white or a little slow on certain things.

Sincerely,
Theis

Some countries eliminated this by having an approved book of names that you can call your kid.
Pick one and that's it.

Hence why one of my sisters is officially a different first name than what everybody has always called her.

My buddy is a teacher in the Los Angeles area. He had a La-A in his class. While trying to pronounce her name for roll call the first day she said "It's Ladasha, my mom's creative". I guess it is a more common name than I realized...
