If you're paying top dollar for a new filmless tube, what is an accetable standard for blems? Is it common to have a small blem in say Zone 3?
I understand that everybody is different in their preferences........

There really is no absolute "perfect" tube, no matter the price.

On the L3 data sheets they will list measured blems, does it show on that?

It’s whatever you specify from most places. If you prioritize zero blems, tell your vendor that and they’ll sift through to find what you need. Might come at a premium, might not. Might end up being a longer wait than just taking what they have on hand, too. “Clean” tubes aren’t uncommon, but if it’s a big deal for your application, it’s worth requesting.

The key part of your question was "paying top-dollar..."

I'll happily pay less for blems -- All. Day. Long.

Zone 3, small blems are fine. If you demand a 3000 FOM tube, I'll take that with reasonable Zone 2/3 blems, no problem.

Blemish-paranoia is for chumps. Don't be a chump. :giggle:
