So i grabbed 3 boxes of 168gr amax today while getting a few supplies. I didnt notice till I got home that 1 of those boxes were moly coated. Is it even worth it to load these or should i just taken them back and exchange them for reg amax's? The little ive read on moly is its more hassle then a short drive to exchange them would be.

ok, thats what it seemed like. i have to many regular 168s and 175's made to not wanna deal with moly. thanks for the info.

Not work the risk of getting your barrel all fouled and and having to go through extra cleaning steps.

I guess I understand the theory behind that, but it doesn't mesh with my limited experience. I shot one box of Black Hills 168gr Moly (found in the back of the safe) in the middle of a range trip a few months ago. I didn't notice a drop off in accuracy or an increase in fouling compared to the non-coated ammo (168gr SMK FGMM and handloads).
