What is the most accurate round for S&W M&P 40c,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have shot the 165's Winchester white box and Federal and Winchester 180's. The 165's hit about 2-3 inches low & left of te target and te 180's about 1 inch low and left. I am not fully used to the trigger but I am getting used to it. I find that when you line the 3 dots (sights) it hits slighly lower than point of aim. The 180's seem to get better groups than the 165's at 7-10 yards but like I said I am not fully used to the gun yet. Anyone have any trigger time with a M&P 40c? The sights have never been fooled with and the gun only has 300 rds through it. I hear they are really accurate guns and I am hoping mine turns out to be that way when I get used to it. Any help is appreciated.

If you are lining up the sights using the dots, you really need to worry about a lot more than ammo.

The dots are nothing but attention grabbers, they do not replace the sharp edges of the sights.

An M&P is capable of 1 hole groups at 10 yards using Wolf. 99% of accuracy with pistols is how the user presses the trigger, and maintains their sight alignment.

Don't worry about the ammo, worry about your trigger control.

If you're in Virginia, I would highly recommend getting to a class with someone like Larry Vickers, or TigerSwan. They do an excellent job at hammering home the fundamentals of surgical accuracy.

We where shooting steel targets at 130 yards with the cheapest practice ammo we could buy, with service pistols like the M&P, Glock, HK P30, etc.

It's really all in the users hands.
