I've done some research and can't find the answer to the issue. I hope someone here can diagnose this problem for me. I have an ACOG TA31-RCO-M4 scope. There are two seperate issues.

The first one is that the reticle seems canted counter-clockwise a tiny bit and the second one is that the whole right-hand side of the reticle is blurry. The lines on the left side are perfectly sharp and crisp but the right side looks like I've had 10 too many drinks. My main question is, what could be causing this blurriness only on the one side? Something to do with the prism?

I'm a little cautious about sending it in to Trijicon for service because this unit was apparently originally sold to the government. I bought it from a guy who bought it 3 years ago at a military surplus store. He called Trijicon with the serial number and they confirmed that it was sold to the military. The scope looks brand new and came with all the miscellaneous gear that the civilian ones do. Do you think I'll have a problem sending it in?

I also sent an email to Trijicon to verify. Just waiting on a response but probably will call tomorrow.

Thanks, Robert.

Re: ACOG reticle problems

Look in the manual if you have it or try to download one. According to Trijicon, it is normal for the right side of the mil scale to be blurry. Can't recall the reason they gave.

As far as the reticle being canted to one side, let me ask you a stupid question, have you properly mounted the scope to a weapon or are you just looking through it while you hold it in your hands?

Re: ACOG reticle problems

I just checked the manual (I have the TA31RCO-M150CP) and all it says is <span style="color: #FF0000">"NOTE: Due to the design of the optic, the right side of the mil scale will become blurry. This is normal".</span>

haha. Honestly, at first, yes I was holding it in my hands. But to actually check I mounted it on an old Colt HBAR. The slight cant could just be me. I was more worried about the blurred stadia lines. Thanks for the responses. I will look for a manual.
