Pretty excited about this cartridge so I decided to give it a go. My original plan included doing this on a BAT HR tactical action with melonite treatment due to a recommendation. However, I would like to hear pros and cons from other sources as well who are currently shooting a long action magnum. The integral rail and recoil lug are a definite plus and I've heard they cycle very smoothly but have also read here on the forum that the machining was less than stellar on one right out of the box so now I'm second guessing it. I guess any action can run into problems but just looking to hear some other ideas for this before I make the final decision.

I've known Bruce Thom since he started making actions. I own several that have single digit serial numbers. I still compete with those rifles. I've built many winning/record setting rifles the past three decades on BAT actions. I have never seen any "machining" issues. Fit and finish have always been superb. BAT set the standard by which all others are judged as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to build one on a Origin long action. I'm just waiting on Bighorn..
