Mounted a 22LR in a chassis and needed shorter action screws. Store had both stainless steel and non stainless, I selected stainless. Any drawbacks, issues or concerns other than not looking tacticool?

Stainless steel fasteners may be more susceptable to galling, especially if the SS screws are engaging into a SS action. Don’t forget to lube the threads.

stainless bolts typically are not as strong as a regular steel bolt. Most stainless bolts are grade 3 or maybe 5 at the most. As stated above when screwing stainless into stainless make sure you are using some never seize or some lube made for stainless. They gall easily
