For those with the Bell and Carlson A2, is the comb high enough to obtain a good consistent cheek weld? Or did you add a Karsten or similar adjustable cheek rest.

Just received my stock and am waiting on barreled action, so I haven't had the opportunity to put it all together yet. But the comb seems to be 1/2" to 3/4" higher that the comb on a 700 BDL stock.

Seems like it might be alright if I can mount the scope low enough.

I guess I will know the answer when I get it all set up, just want to know if I should go ahead and order a Karsten and have it here when needed.

Thanks.

Honestly its a pretty subtle difference. I'd say 1/2" maybe, it was just what I needed though.

My optic doesn't set super low seeing as its a 50mm, but like you said the B&C is already higher then most factory stocks so that extra 1/2" worked out in my case.

Some people also tuck some hook/loop velcro pads underneath the pack to raise the cheek weld a bit. I'm not sure how well this will work with the B&C though because like I mentioned it's already a tight fit. http://www.triadtactical.com/Shooter-s-Stock-Pack-Rifle.html
