Gunsmithing Adding an arca rail to this stock?

Fiance's 10/22 Competition she shoots for NRL22. I wanted to upgrade her to a bit more fancy with an arca rail and an atlas bipod. The current stock has both a curved fore-end and it's slightly angled upwards. The curve makes barricades somewhat wobbly so having a flat rail will be nice for her. The angled upwards means I probably want to do some sort of epoxy bedding to make the rail parallel to the barrel.

I think I can probably screw the rail in with the action screw and the bipod mount screw, but maybe I'll want to also screw in fastener bits and drill into the inside of the stock.

Any suggestions on rails? I think possibly the Area 419 universal rail could work.

If the curve is not too severe and the stock material is thick/tough enough, I would mill a flat on the forearm and bolt the arca rail from the inside.

If you dont mind the look of it - use shims under the front bolt to level it out. Make sure they are wide enough to avoid wobble.

added an area 419 arca rail to a cz 457 varmint mtr it looks and works pretty good so far . Sadly I am still waiting for the atlas 5h bi pod . what ever makes you happy with your guns is what you should do .
