Does anyone know if there is something currently being manufactured? I'm looking for the adapter to be able to adjust the butt pad vertically and also for cant. Jim See has them on some of his rifles (see pics). They were manufactured by Impact for Surgeon back in the day but am told they are no longer made by them.

Would anyone else be interested in something like that? I have to think it would help bridge the gap a little in adjustability between stocks and chassis...?

In this day and age with all the machining work being done with RRS dovetail plates and such I have to think this is very doable...thoughts?

I found a place in Canada that will make them. I did install a KRG adjustable plate on my A-5 but the shape is different so it looks funny. It works for now but I want something better.

This is the place in Canada. I have not ordered it yet but the owner called me and we had a good discussion about it. He seems very capable and willing to make it perfect. http://www.mcrstactical.com/

Thanks for the link. It would be nice to have something quality on the market that the main stock builders had on hand. I'm assuming the stocks may need to be cut short if adding one of these...unless you need the longer LOP. Maybe something will come out at SHOT?

He told me to trace the stocks (A-5 and I have a Manner T-4) with measurements. He will machine them to the dimensions I want. I was quoted $130 for the basic and it was about $80 more for the lightened version. So I assume he can make just about anything. I would shoot him an email and see what he says. I will be doing the measurements for my stocks this week. My plan is to have one made to a spec and still be able to use the spacers to set the LOP for my needs.

I like it but I think a simpler design would work without adding bulk and weight (if weight is an issue). Something simple like JP's would be great. The quick LOP adjustment isn't that necessary to me. Could always get the new Manners compact stock for that.

Here are McMillan's...

Manners are in the process of developing their own. They did have the 4-way adjustable Tubb but discontinued them. Not sure if they have them available yet.

Thanks, yeah the McMillan is very similar to the MCRS tactical (maybe made by them...IDK?) I'm hoping Manners will have theirs out at SHOT and hopefully it won't be as bulky.

Resurrecting this thread.

I agree with Frank, I really like what Gunwerks did with their Magnus and Verdict stocks. I checked them out at SHOT and they really are a slick design. The addition of the thumb-wheel (toolless) adjustability for vertical and cant in a nice compact package is what was needed. I hope to see more of this kind of thing moving forward but on stocks. I have to think being Marty built the collapsible portion of Manners Compact Stock that maybe Badger could come out with something similar. Of course most stocks would have to be sent in to have this done so the LOP doesn't go out of whack. However, I have to think this will be a common option going forward to pick you LOP and to add some sort of adjustable butt pad that is compact. It is my opinion that the current designs are bulky and outdated...the industry can do better (and some have).
