Rifle Scopes advice on scopes and use

I currently have a nikon monarch 3 4-16 with side focus and mildot reticle. I also have a bushnell elite tactical with tremor reticle. Ive had the hdmr on a 308 bolt gun but recently bought a remington 700 5r in 300 win mag. I have a extra adm mount with 30 and 35mm rings. Should i sell the monarch and buy a sightron siii, burris xtr ii or vortex viper pst. Im interested in 5-25 or 6-24 power range if i do this. Or should i just use the nikon on the 308 and move the hdmr to the 300 wm. I have the nikon and about 500$ to upgrade to a better scope. Im ok with a second focal plane scope as i already have a ffp one.

Put the HDMR on the 300 considering it can reach out further. Then put the 500 away till tax time and move up to a Razor, USO, NF or whichever. Us the 308 with the Nikon for some 300-500 wind drills.

Depends how far you will be shooting the 300WM. I had a 3-9 redfield on mine and thought it wasn't enough and stepped up to a NF NXS 5.5-22 and due to the huge huge improvement in glass quality I can read signs at the shopping centre on 5.5x which are about 1000yds away. So all depends on glass quality to be honest.

I have the Vortex PST and love it. I'm interested in buying a Sightron though. Kind of depends on what you want it for. All purpose I'm supposing. I hear the Sightron glass is better than the Vortex PST glass, so I'd do the Sightron before the PST. I have NF NXS's in 5.5-22x56 and LOVE them. The BEAST is the BOMB though. Love it the most. (But I've never owned a S&B.)
