I have just discovered the barrel contour in my SA Saint is wrong. The barrel experts say heavy at the chamber area then reduce the diameter to the gas block and another small diameter reduction forward to the muzzle. They say the big explosion and most of the heat is just forward of the where the bullet lies in the chamber. Therefore put lots of metal there for safety and better heat dissipation. My saint barrel is backassward. I am asking for input on two barrels. Aero Precision 20" heavy fluted 223 Wylde chambered which weighs 35oz and the Wilson 20" lightly fluted SS barrel that weighs 52 oz. Some say that Ballistic Advantage makes AP's barrels. Some say Wilson makes their own barrels. I only am interested in any one who has experience with one or both of these barrels.
