Our unit had a journalist with us that shared his photos just wanted to post a few to show some of the terrain of the current fight in Helmand. He did a great job i think.
Third pic is very dynamic and if its alright I'd like to know the journalist/photographers name so I can ask if i can use this for reference for a painting

i'll ask around and see if i cant find his name but i know he made a youtube video called amaricas battalion i think its from "NPR"

this is a grid pattern bar code sticker with the gov. s/n on it.

yes LtCol. Cabaniss was our battalion comander i didnt know he had any good quote
boy the helmand province brings back some memories. i was there in 2006-2007 with 10th mountain 2-4 infantry. in multiple firefights we ran the specter's dry completely out of ammo.
