He was not even in the same fucking country, let alone w/us or a wit to what transpired. He was spouting a B/S AAR, that not a single man,... that was there,... signed.

Again, I knew he was lying with the rest of the journalists after the fact from two different sources. Most immediate was my friend, Lee, who served 3 active combat tours on the laotian-cambodian border when Nixon and the press were reporting that we were not there. Essentially, Lee would get pulled back to Da Nang and the press stories would blow over in about a week and then he would go back in and do his magic with C-4.

Another source was in Heinlein's "Expanded Universe." His wife was secretly fluent in russian. Smattering of a few other languages. Anyway, so, they had been to 8 different events that were newsworthy enough to even be published in "Time" magazine. Not once did the "official" story match what they heard and found. Including the time Russia shot down one of our fighter jets.
