Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you knew whether or not if there was an aftermarket stock available for the Marlin XL7 heavy barrel. I just bought mine and I love everything about it minus the stock. I've done a little searching and only been able to find wood and laminate stocks. I'm looking for a tactical one. Feel free to send suggestions my way. I'd appreciate it a lot.

I've had the same dilemna with my x7vh. As far as i know there are no other options other then the wood and laminate stocks. You may be able to send you barreled action into xlrindustries and have one of their chassis setups inletted for it.

Your best bet would probably be to contact some of the stock manufacturers and see if they will inlet one for you. I doubt it would be a common model they stock. Be prepared to pay about double for the stock than you did for the rifle.

Very good points. Yeah I figured I'd pay double since it'd have to be custom. Not looking forward to that. Thanks for the suggestions. Guess that's what I get for not getting a 700 haha.

If you want to upgrade you might be better off trading your Marlin for a Savage. Just handling them in the store they feel similar and the Savage has all the aftermarket support you could ask for.

I'm sure any of the big composite stock makers can inlet one for your rifle. Otherwise, get one with no inlet and pay a gunsmith to do it. Either option will cost $$$.
