Have a Bergara b-14 series rifle ( rem 700 style trigger). I am putting together a new gun for hunting and want to put an aftermarket trigger in it. Not sure what one to get. Need something super reliable is #1 need as probably all of them will be smooth and a nice upgrade.

I have 1 timney, 1 old 40x trigger, 2 jewels and 2 trigger techs and the trigger techs are my favourite by far. The trigger tech special would probably be my recommended trigger for a hunting rig but personal favourite is the diamond. It is just next level

+1 on the Trigger Tech special

I've got a jewel, Huber 2-stage, TT special and 2x Timney. Like them all enough that none are likely to be swapped out but I will go with TT on the next build..special or diamond. Only exception is the 2-stage on the truck gun..feels like an extra level of safety with minimal addition to the final pull resistance.

You can't beat an old style R700 or 40X trigger tuned up for reliability. Yeah you can't tune them down to 8oz, but you don't want that on a hunting rifle. Never have I seen one gum up, or freeze up, I'm sure it's happened but I've never seen or heard of it. Seen a lot of aftermarket 700 triggers eat shit though.

I personally don't care for my trigger tech..
It goes as light as 1 1/2 lbs but still feels like crap to me.
I like my Tikka triggers with the spring mod way more.
Just ordered a Timney Calvin Elite, hoping it works out better
