The part about the USA having “lost the knowledge of how to make things that make things” is a big problem.
I talked to our head of manufacturing about off-shoring a while back. His take mirrors what is in the video. If it can be automated, China can’t be touched for price per quality per unit. If it’s Chinese crap, it is because it was specked to be Chinese crap, not because the Chinese are incapable of making it better. But, if it needs- manual- attention to detail, USA is where you want your part made.
Interesting but I prefer Patton or Lemay. Killing them into submission is the winning move every time.

We Can make things. We can rebuild. We can train kids in trade schools. We can ramp it up effectively and savely and (yes) in an environmentally-friendly manner. We just have to have the will.
And the "Will" is being sapped by useless bureaucrats, incompetent teachers, leftist attitudes, the Green New Scam, Trump Derangement, etc, etc, etc.. And so we will be stuck with a status quo that IS unrecoverable if we don't end this bullshit.
Pardon my French. Western Europe is lost. Australia is Lost. Canada is half-lost. Africa never played. South and Central America... never played. The M.E. will self destruct.
