painful but needs doing. our spending habits are self destructive in amt and content. not buying cheap Chinese stuff shouldn't be an issue. look at flea markets,thrift shops,garage sales. there is such a huge excess of inventory of just about everything imaginable floating around everywhere. 1 thrift shop i know of tells me that they get so many clothes they can't store them. you can easily find quantities of almost every kind of product. there are also many other countries that sell us stuff and would be happy to take over China's junk market. we don't "need" anything that comes from China. nationalizing their land bought here has been done many times in other settings,to us and the Brits for sure over oil amongst others. we would be better off without any of the electronic junk you mention. but,our compulsive buyers would be supplied by many other countries.
expelling EVERY Chinese citizen here is a smart move. we need to also re vet those who have "naturalized" as citizens. many spies and potential saboteurs in that bunch. not to mention the 2 or 3 Chinese divisions OBiden let in.
