I have Badger M2008 action rifle that I use ten round AI mags in. When I load the mag with all 10 rounds the first round is incredibly stiff to chamber. Almost to the point have to hammer the bolt for it to chamber. the second round is a lot easier and 3-10 feel like I have an empty mag they are so easy to chamber. Is this common? Do they get better with use? Possible fixes?

I had same issue with the 5 round. I realized that I had not stacked the rounds in the mag properly while loading. I check now by depressing the last round to assure there is spring tension on it, and the feeding of the first shot is smooth.
