AI AX Bore Guide

While I anxiously await delivery of my new AI AX (260), I am gathering the other related items needed for the proper care and feeding of my new rifle. Will the genral purpose bore guides work acceptably or is there something specific needed for the AX?

This is the only bore guide I have used with my AIs so I cant comment on any others.

I ordered one of Mike Lucas' bore guides and it's very nice. One of my buddies gave me an older AI AW factory bore guide that locks into the bolt catch which is kinda neat but it's not quite as good as the Lucas one. The nice thing about the Lucas guide is that it is sized for your cleaning rod so it doesn't want to bend as much.

Possum hollow makes caliber specific bore guides for AI actions, you can buy them through brownells. I have a couple of the factory guides that work well with a 30 cal rod in a 30 cal barrels but they're just too big for a 22 cal rod with a smaller bore. The possum hollow work well though.
