I have a question. I have a AI 338 Lapua Mag. when the Mag is empty and you go to close the bolt hits the Magazine follower so you can't close it without taking out the Magazine. My AI Mag in .308 does not do this. Is the AI 338 Lapua Magazine suppose to do this?

Yes, it is suppose to do that. It lets you know that your mag is empty...And the factory origenal AI 308 mag should also act the same. I personally had to cut away a piece of the backend of the follower so my bolt would be able to close even when the mag was empty...ideal for shooting f-class when your not loading from the mag.
