This is a new product and the fit and finish is amazing on it. Mine has a few marks from use but seriously this it a very nice piece of kit for the AIAT rifle system.

It is very ridgid. I cant detect any flex at all even when loading it pretty hard. Fits exactly like rhe factory spigot mount with 2 large roll pins and 2 screws.

It does come with 2 screws to keep the bipod from sliding off the front and has machined holes to keep them stored when not in use. This is a very nice feature.

This product is definitely worth looking into if you have a dovetail bipod that you want to run on an AIAT. I know it is offered by Anarchy Outdoors and I believe it was a collaborative effort with Accuracy Obsession.

Ok. Not sure what this does that my Sawtooth ARCA Swiss Rail doesn’t. Not knocking it, just don’t see the use. My ARCA allows me to position my bi-pod from there, to almost touching the magazine.

Options are good I suppose.

I’ve been curious to see this spigot with an Atlas CAL.

Did you run your bipod on the factory spigot and adapter before getting the dovetail spigot? If so is it more or less solid?

That’s a sweet .22 setup!!!

I have used a B&T spigot adapter. It was very wiggle even when cranked down tight. Also it would loosen itself during use.

I have used a big dog spigot and it worked well just didn't have Acra attachment. It seemed very solid though.

I have used the solid aluminum spigot that SamB was selling way before he collaborated with Anarchy Outdoors and it is a very tough piece of kit. No play whatso ever. In my opinion this is how the AIAT should have come from the factory. But again this was a pic rail only option. I still have this version on my center fire gun.

This new dovetail version is pretty much of the same quality and construction as the original but with dovetail capabilities. Very solid design. The CAL fits nicely even with the lever on back. There is plenty of room to adjust the lever when it is installed.

I actually shot this rifle in an NRL22 match today and I think I just realized the real benefit to this Dovetail spigot. The bipod is now much higher than before. Almost by an inch. With it so close to the bore I have to extend the legs an extra 2 notches to have a comfortable prone position. This in turn makes the stance wider on the ground for the same given height. The rifle felt very stable with the stance so wide and the bipod so far forward.

@Rumblingdwarf thanks for taking the time to do a write up on the new RRS-Arca spigot mount. I appreciate the feedback and your business!

As you mentioned, the original picatinny mounts were made and sold by me a few years ago, and have now been picked up by Anarchy Outdoors in a partnership for these and a bunch of other AI accessories.

I did a bunch of R&D and design iterations on this RRS/Arca version, compared it to my picatinny mount as well as the MPA and KRG spigot mounts. Through FEA simulations I proved this is stiffer than those spigot mounts, which are no slouches. I also tried to ensure the CAL as well as a Harris with Pod-Loc would fit without issues.

You also touched on the other benefit of the design - getting closer to the bore axis. The mount moves the bipod 1” closer to the bore axis, which is a stability advantage over the extended forend rails like the Sawtooth.

Thanks again,

Sam
