There isn't any slop in the 2.0. It's heavy and stable.Get correct height rings w your scope so you get good cheekweld.In other words don't go too low.

The AI clamping system to lock the buttstock in place is pretty solid. I haven't had any problem with mine. I think it's because of the strong spring AI uses as well as tight tolerances.

I just ordered my second AICS 2.0, those things are tight as a vault. No slop.

^ Good advice, I purchased a 2.0 and the badger rings I had been using with the previous stock were too low.
