One of my soon to be flush cup mounts for my AX chassis.

I needed another mounting point on my chassis but I didn't quite feel like spending $70+ on just one of the Accuracy International rails with the integrated flush cup so I'm making my own out of aluminum. After a trip to McMaster Carr and McMillan for stuff, I've still spent less than just one rail and have enough materials to make about six.

I'll try to update it tomorrow after I've shortened the section up and contoured the edges.

I cut 4mm off the ends and worked on the edges with a file, I just wish my flush cups would've come in from McMillan so I could have this one done, hopefully next week.

Right now it's about the same height off the forend as the AI rail but with a flush cup it might have a little taller profile however it is more narrow and much shorter so not a bad trade off I think. I'll update when I can, thanks for looking.

My flush cups came in earlier in the week and I got a couple epoxied into their bases with some JB Weld, they aren't perfect but not too bad for a hack saw and a file. Right now they're only painted with Bowflage but I'm thinking about trying out some Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black down the road.
