Just installed an IMUNS in my AICS chassis. First off, no matter what I do I cannot get the barrel to center up exactly. Also it appears with my barrel profile I only have about .016 of clearance or so on one side between the barrel and IMUNS. Anyone have any idea how much clearance is needed? I've got a fairly heavy barrel and I'm concerned about barrel whip. It appears I'm a victim of tolerance stacking. Is this normal? Do I have enough clearance? Thanks.

Have you reached out to Marty via PM or email? I would get some good pics and a brief but detailed explanation of exactly what you built and send him an email. Give him a week or so. He is a wealth of knowledge, not just about his stuff, but the industry as a whole. He would be my first stop.

Called Badger today. The answer I got was .025 clearance was what is recommended. The standard imuns bore is 1.2in. Using hand pressure I can get the barrel to flex up against the IMUNS so I'm guessing I'll have problems.

Well, you can just shoot it and see how it goes..........might still be ok. If not, having the barrel turned a few thousands most likely won't affect performance or you could go "redneck" and open up the IMUNS a bit, no biggie.
