Hello all! I recently bought an Aimpoint CompM4. I was curious if I should worry about using Alkaline batteries in it as they are prone to leaking. I have heard horror stories about batteries leaking and ruining eotech sights, but I have not heard any similar experiences with aimpoints. Would running lithium batteries in this sight be advisable or does it not matter? Thanks for the help!

If you don't buy cheap alkaline batteries, you'll be fine. Duracells and Energizers are ideal. I have yet to ever had a AA leak on me in any capacity. NVGs, radios, lights....never happened.
If you're really concerned, buy lithium. It's not the end of the world. You won't have to replace the battery for 8 years, so not a huge waste of money.
