I want to Cerakote a 10 22 aluminum receiver. Can I put that in the oven?
Anybody done this before with good results? I only have the oven cure.
Thanks

Aluminum will be just fine. You can even coat wood or (some) polymers with it if you want to.
Ive coated two of them and it made the bolts function a lot smoother. It really smoothed out all the shitty Ruger factory tooling marks.
I left the VQ barrel in for this one since I had to hammer it in. For my 80%er with a Kidd barrel, I coated the receiver without the barrel and masked off the barrel shank and it took the slop out of the barrel/receiver fit. Something to consider if your barrel fits loose like many 10/22 barrels seem to.....

Read NIC's instuctions or watch their online video and have fun!

My pest regulator in all it's ghetto glory. Sorry for the crappy pic. I am too lazy to take a better one today.
