Southern VA
Ordered a laptop keyboard yesterday around noon - $36
Upgraded shipping for arrival today - $4

Shipped DFW and is on the truck in Southern VA for delivery this morning at 8:30 AM.

It was in Louisville at midnight last night, so it was a plane ride.
The keyboard is small, light, and thin, so it likely added nothing in terms of bulk or weight. But still, that's pretty amazing.
I buy most of my parts and systems through Amazon and a good amount of household stuff as well.
Between Prime, with video and music, rewards points on my Visa, and them donating a small percentage to a local charity on my behalf through the smile.amazon program they're pretty hard to not do business with.
Politics aside, they have their shit together. God help us when they start selling new cars and real estate.

i have never once gotten an order on time from Amazon....doesnt matter if i choose standard shipping or pay for upgraded shipping....they are always 2 days late minimum.

Where the hell do you live? I have rarely not received on time.
The most expensive part of shipping is what they call "the last mile". That is the house to house part. In 2016 Amazon's shipping bill was $11,000,000,000.
Amazon started in 2017 to make that smaller and has started doing their own deliveries.
There have been days when I have recieved packages from UPS,FedEx, USPS, and Amazon
The cool thing if Amazon delivers a package is you get a notice on your phone when the driver is 8 stops away from you. If you click the message it goes to a gps tracker of the vehicle. I have watched the tracker and as the gps showed the vehicle coming around the corner I have walked out my front door and met the driver at the street the moment he pulled up. They also take a picture of the package and where they put it and send it to you when the item is delivered.
UPS, FEDEX, USPS better get their shit together, Amazon is going to crush them when the time comes.

When I was overseas I typically got Amazon packages within a week, in many cases shorter. They were almost always faster getting to Afgh from the States than trying to get mail from another region within the same damn country.

I've got no love for Bezos, but I'll give credit where it's due on their amazing logistics. .Mil could learn a lot

Heres one i just looked at
