Well, I got the feeding problem figured out with my AR. I was shooting very well with Winchester Ammo and then I picked up some Remington UMC. The Winchester is FMJ and the Remington is also FMJ. I shot today and I could not shoot worth crap. Both are 55 grain as well.

I made sure no screws were loose and everything was tight. I cleaned it when I was done shooting (first time Ive ever cleaned it).

I shot just over MOA with the winchester and now I cant get a group.

Should I just get some different ammo then?

Thanks
Shay

Re: Ammo Problems?

What brand of AR are you using, what distance are you shooting at, are you using open sights , or an optic? Are you use to the sights and or trigger pull? What was the feeding problem from before, a bad mag or something else? I shoot my M-4 about every two weeks at training I run a Spikes Tactical with a 1:7 twist and it shoots like a dream and sub moa at 50 yds proned using 55 gr. Sorry for all the questions just trying to get a better understanding of whats going on with your AR.

Re: Ammo Problems?

Del Ton 20" with a Mueller APT for optics. I was shooting at 100 and 200. 1-9 twist.
I was not pulling the trigger, I was squeezing. I didnt pul it so I wasn't getting horrible groups.
the problem before was bad mags, but that was solved with pmags.

Re: Ammo Problems?

Thats a nice set up. I would recomend pulling it back to 25 or 50 yds and see what kind of group you get. It could be that your optic may have lost zero or came loose from the bolt carrier group moving back and forth. With a 1:9 twist 55 gr. should be just fine. Then I would check your bore on the barrel.
