AMP Mark 2

Man, been using a Giraud for years for my annealing but just got the AMP Mark 2 with Aztec and the AmpMate auto loader on Fri and set up today. Oh man, its one of those things you get and you wonder how you ever did without it. Ok Giraud is going up for sale unfortunately ... totally impressed with the AMP.

I did exactly the same thing.

I was annealing within 10 minutes of it being out of the box, switched calibers in 1 minute and was annealing another caliber.

Meanwhile, with the Giraud, I'd be moving shit around, backing it off, fucking with the gas pressure, speeding shit up, slowing shit down, Tempilaq here, over-annealing and wasting cases and wanting to just say fuck this and 45 minutes later I MIGHT have it set up right but was never really sure.

And then the face you make when you realize you have to change calibers and set it up again.

I looked at the Annie and Giraud said he had falling out but the AMP is a far better machine than that. Annie does no brass evaluation or sorting, the mark 2 does . for about the same price as an annie + giraud.

Where did you get yours from? I'm backordered until mid/ end December.

They are getting them out as of the last few weeks.

I bought mine 3 months ago from Creedmoor sports. They shipped the first of them last week, next lot is end Dec. Who did you buy from? If its Brownells - good luck if you ever see it.

Did you do the hardware mod to the AmpMate? Using a casefeeder?

Still waiting on the MKII backorder, but have had the AmpMate sitting on a shelf for a month...very interested in how reliable the auto-feed ends up being.

so i have the case feeder, mods are sent out yet. i did my first batch one at a time and now thinking do i really need it. will run this weekend and let you know -- lots of videos on it, and so far everything they told me i scoffed at so far they were right

I got my Mk2 in 2 weeks ago and man is it awesome. Annealed 100 cases of 6mm Creedmoor by hand in about 10 mins.

Next thing you must have are shell holders for each of the calibers you plan to anneal. Whether it be Lee, Hornady, RCBS, Redding... etc.
