Howdy!I lost my left arm above the elbow and my right leg above the knee last July in a motorcycle accident. To shorten a long story,I spent several months in the hospital racking up surgeries. My left leg has a rod in the femur and my foot is fused.I started working out a few months ago as my health allowed.Currently I have my prosthetic arm and leg and have been walking some.I have primarily focused on my upper body strength in my residual limb and right arm.I have never worked out before so please bear with me as I don't know the correct names for some of the equipment.I have been able to build up my upper body strength with lots of reps and increasing the weight as fast as I can stand it. Most of my workouts involve different excercises on various cable operated machines and free weights to 45lbs.I've progressed to the point where I can workout at 180lbs on the machine. As I feel I've gotten where I need to be with my upper body strength,I would like advice regarding lower body workouts that I can gain from.I particularly am interested in workouts to target the muscles that run from the side of your hip down to towards the knee as this is what stabilizes me when I walk. Thanks in advance!
