AN/PVS-6 Not Night Vision but

a laser rangefinder included in the PVS series. I just got one and another spare parts unit. Pretty cool. 10,000 meter range and is high powered. It is probably capable of a lot farther but the circuitry limits it to 10k.
I do need some small parts like rubber eye cups and batter compartment module.

I also built a battery holder which uses 8 each CR123A substituting for the hard to find BB-516/U battery.

Where's you pick up one of those? I wouldn't mind tinkering with one.

I picked it up along with some spare modules from a surplus dealer in Florida. It is missing the compass module and has some crazing on the reticle. I will post some pictures later in the week at:
