I send my elected Representatives emails about the issues. I have let them know that they were elected to defend the Constitution and represent the people's will and not their own. They should not have to be begged, cajoled, see parades or picket lines to do what they were hired to do.

Just by participating on forums such as this one, we are already doing a significant part in educating and spreading awareness to the general public.
Everybody is able to view these boards, and the content within. Not just us gunnies sittin' around this bar counter. Lurkers, passerby, maybe a junior high student doing a "current events" assignment on gun control and just happened to stumble upon this site. That is why I not only try my best to post meaningful conversations, but also try to deliver as much educational value as possible. People read stuff like this and I would prefer that they walk away from here feeling the need to know more and think critically, not just going by what the media and public figures tell them. Bonus points if they decide they want to become rifle shooters too and join the campfire.

I have no illusions about whats coming an know in my heart this is why my Grandfather, Father, an many other kin folk instilled in us to be self reliant with life skill sets. The thing I hate the most is the children that are going to get caught up in it. They never did anything to warrant going threw or being a part of what coming. Then again we had a generation that never knew life w/o the depression, quickly followed by WW II which ended many of those young lives. My Great uncle used this saying alot when things went to shit, "Sometimes you have to harden your heart an do whats required". I think he had more long term vision, than I gave him as a kid.
