How in the hell does this happen. Locked up since 1981, how/why would he have ID that would get him through security. Shouldn't anyone this dangerous be on some kind of "list".

Just wondering... where in the Constitution does if say Government is obligated to protect us from every eventuality?

Though I am with you 100 percent, 2A... this 'tard should have been in the drool academy. Not boarding a flight.... Just 'sayin.

Cheers,

Sirhr

They are not obligated nor are local LEO. That was my point, so much trust in the government yet when the shit hits the fan it is on you to protect yourself. Same as in Texas, government dropped the ball but average everyday guy pays the price. But trust them if they have all the guns it will be better.

Thank God the guy was arrested today without incident. Would have been so tragic if he found another victim. It seems pretty rare for administrators to say a person is that dangerous.

PS. you would think that there would be a list of the most dangerous people no matter if they are in custody or not. Just seems obvious in case something happens.

Even if both flights were commercial, the airlines don't run passengers' identifiers through NCIC or any other LE database as far as I'm aware. And nominating/adding someone to the No Fly list is not easy, as some of you like to suggest. Damn sure not gonna get someone on there without them being a Nat'l Security risk.
