This is newscum trying to get around the thing the dems put in place so that no one governor could re-align the districts in Kalipornia to favor either party....

EVERY "registered voters" in CA got one of these books for one item in the election. AND they will mail out ballots to all of those same "registered voters"...

This is going to cost the state (who is broke) $300,000,000.

I had an aunt that moved to CA after college. She passed away 2020, I went down to Ventura County CA to handle her affairs, sell the house, etc. I received her election stuff, the numbers of propositions and the kooky ways they were worded had to be the most bizarre form of "democratic input" I've seen. We have propositions in MT on the ballot, they are also often strangely worded, but they tend to be limited to tiny things like property tax proportion for school / education funding. In CA they had all kinds of things on the ballot.

During 2020 I spent 8 mos in Ventura County CA. I would sometimes see broadcasts of Newsome. I thought to myself, "only in California could this man be admired and elected." More than any other modern pol, he is an actor of the hollywood variety, and was chosen for his actor-like appearance. You can imagine him as a successful surgeon in an afternoon soap opera and all the CA ladies thinking he's the boss after seeing him in that role.

CA looks like the one state among the 50 where unhinged soft leftism has taken hold, as an experiment to see what the populace will tolerate. The amount of homeless people and general public setting trash in Ventura County CA was almost unbelievable to me. Anywhere but the upscale places like Santa Barbara, there was trash and homeless everywhere.

The topography is pretty amazing, but the govt and the people make it strange, like The Truman Show.
