Rifle Scopes Another which glass is better question

Id rather a razor gen two than a trijicon for the same price. Proven track record.

Id have to really really prefer a NF reticle (non xmas tree basically) to go with the atacr 5-25 over the razor gen 2

Is the Trij just "another" excellent LOW scope? For 1000 yards you can spend even less and still have a great scope. Tract, Cronus...

which ever you are willing to pay for is probably the best scope for you at this time . Good luck and happy shooting its better to have more power than you think you need , than to end up with less than you wish you had when you need it .

I believe ILya stated it was the same basic LOW optical design as the Tract, Cronus BTR, and Delta Stryker. The Cronus BTR deal at cameralandny is tough to beat right now.

I toss my hat in the ring every now and then when this comes up, but anyone in the market for one of the plethora of LOW offerings in the sub 2k.price point would be doing themselves a big favor by looking at the XTR3. Head to head with any scope in its price point, its very tough to beat.

To the OP, There's no question that the glass in the ATACR is better. Is it worth double the price, some would say yes, some would say no. You're the only one who can answer that question for you.
So do you think the optics in the XTR111 is superior to all the other scopes in the $1500-$2000 price range ?

I have a 30x xtr 3. My wife runs it in matches. I have run it a fair bit as well. The glass is good. It is comparable to razor AMG and atacr glass. It has a tiny bit of ca, but it is usually not noticeable. The AMG controls ca very well. That is the only downside I have noticed. The xtr 3 has been far more durable than my amg. I have had no problems with it at all. In the price range, my favorite scope to look through is the AMG. It has had some issues. Vortex has taken VERY good care of me. The xtr3 has been solid and close enough in glass quality that it is a toss up for me which I prefer. The scr2 reticle is a bit thin for me, but I believe the illuminated version that is coming and has a slightly thicker reticle. It should be about perfect for my tastes.
