My favourite local gun store has a new SIG P210A Target (9mm)
I've been looking for a new 9mm target pistol & I wanted to see if anyone has any first hand knowledge of shooting them & how accurate they are / comfortable to shoot?
I do like the way it feels in my hand and the action and trigger are amazingly smooth and crisp.
I am also however considering holding out till mid next year for the P210A Super Target.

I have a couple Smith and Wesson target pistols that are in the same class....Smith 52-2 (.38 wadcutter) and the Smith 952-1.

The 952-1 is often stated to be a hair more accurate than the Sig 210.

I consider both guns to be magical Unicorns built in some underworld shop by magical gnomes.

I've never fired a 210 but because it is often mentioned in the same articles with my other two guns I can only guess that it is a fantastic gun to own.

I remember they were pretty expensive but the Smiths are not cheap either and further suffer for no longer being in production.

I think I'm going to wait and get the P210A Super Target next year, it has a longer barrel (6 inch instead of 5 inch) and longer barrels make me happier.....

pmclaine - just wanted to show you your next target/match pistol purchase :p

LOL just messing with ya, but seriously this thing is pretty fckn cool if you ask me. Potential reliability issues aside, I'd wager its a helluva shooter! And a interesting if somewhat crazy design!

    Bore axis looks high....

Interesting that he took from the P38. To some extent the P38 was the inspiration for the S&W Model 39 which became the 52 which became the 952..
