I run the Vias on three target rifles (.308, .260, and 22-250), and also as thread/crown protector. They are also able to be fit to accomodate the longer shank for a suppressor intended muzzle. Or R&D Precision had a custom Vias brake supplied, I don't recall.
As stated, the Vias brake doesn't direct as much report back to the shooter. With that, I doubt they are not the most recoil reducing brake on the market. With a .308, I'd rather not feel far greater acousic concussion vs. the recoil.
The only other brake I run is a Answer and I don't think those are made anymore. That one has some dirt respect.
