Anybody buying Dinars?

Got a buddy who is stoked over a potential increase in Iraqi dinar.... My research has come up with a scam in this investment.

Just wondering if this may be a sound investment or another get rich quick scheme.

Well...trading currency isn't any scam if you purchase at the appropriate rate for the day. If you think the value will go up then trade US cash for dinars at an exchange post or through a currency broker. Foreign exchange is huge business.

Now, whether or not it actually goes up in value is a bet.

Buying Dinars is investing in dumb shits....It is an investment strategy I don't see merit in.

He's not talking about currency trading, he's talking about a revaluing on the Dinar. It's totally hokey. The idea is that you buy $1,000 of the current Dinar, and when the currency gets revalued it's suddenly worth $1,000,000.

I'll admit the guys pushing this scam are good, but it makes not the slightest bit of sense once you start drilling down into it.

I bought $1,000,000 Dinar about five or six years ago and it has done nothing but collect dust in my safe.

Can be rewarding and can be risky(see margin call). To speculate on currency you don't buy the currency itself.
