Range Report Anyone chronoed Factory 6.5 CM 143gr ELD-X?

Anyone use their magnetospeed to chrono the factory hornady 6.5 CM 143gr ELD-X? Specifically through a 24" PROOF barrel?

What was the actual FPS?
What was the SD between rounds/boxes?
What were your groups like?

With the Hornady ELD Match ammo, I was seeing between 9-20fps on the SD’s depending on the lot.

Your question is tough to answer, even if someone has the exact setup you’ve specified each barrel (even from the same manufacturer) is going to be different, then factor in differences between each lot of ammo and the data your asking for is practically useless.

I tried asking around just like you are for factory .308 168g from 20" savage. answers were kind of consistent but not enough to help me. I ended up buying a magnetospeed that next day after asking.

Here is my data collected with a magneto speed sporter. Remington 700 ADL tactical 6.5CM with 24" barrel so different barrel make but same length. I do have a SilencerCo ASR brake on it (not sure if that will significantly effect muzzle velocity). With the Hornady Precision hunter ELD-X 143gr I was getting 2648 fps at 59 degrees F. That is out of the Strelok on my phone. I don't have my log book with me for SD and ES. Hope it gives you a ball park number to work with.

out of my brand new rem 700 custom shop north american 24" 1-8 twist, with eld-x 143's, i avg'd 2618 with 11sd and 31es (just five shots). nothing to write home about groups, below, all 5 shots @100yds, hopefully now that i lightened the trigger a little the groups will shrink a little...

Ran the ammo through my proof 24" out to 1550~ yards. The MOA adjustment was correct at that range so I guess I'm getting very close to what's advertised. I put in 2715 fps, it was about 95 outside, can't remember the density altitude. Best group .74" @ 200 Yards.
