Anyone ever made a mold of a gun stock?

Has anyone ever made a silicone mold of their favorite gun stock and then done an epoxy resin pour and then done all the finishing on it to create a unique version for personal use? All this time at home has my wheels turning on projects I've been meaning to get to. If you have, what silicone product did you go with? My wife and I make molds of things, but never this large. It would cost us $600 in silicone alone if we went with what we normally use.

TxDerek , you could use "Dowsil 795" it's about 20 bucks a 20 oz "sausage" , it cures in about 48 hours and you could lay in cheese cloth to stiffen up the layers , I'm planning something similar for a cheap savage stock I've got in hand, good luck keep us posted.
