Gunsmithing Anyone have a bad Badger base screw?

hey guys I just went to mount a my Badger 700LA base and the front short screw stripped out with maybe 10in/lb of pressure. Anyone have this happen before? The other screws thread into the hole just fine and there is no visible issues on the rifle. The screw had no threads on it when I took it back out.

Just out of curiosity I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else...

Anything is possible. If the other screw go in and come out fine just give Marty a call. I'm sure he'll be happy to send out a new screw.

Anything is possible indeed, I suppose I was just wondering if it could have been a batch issue. I did call Badger, the gentleman didn't sound too terribly surprised and will send out a screw.

would like note note, the base is a hell of a lot nicer than other i've owned...
